Tibor Kárpáti is a Hungarian graphic designer and illustrator born in 1978. He studied graphic design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art & Design in Budapest, where he graduated in 2003 and obtained a Doctorate in Liberal Arts in 2006. While studying, he received a scholarship and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan for a year. His clients include publications such as The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, Golf Digest, 3x3 Magazine, MIT Technology Review, Éditions MeMo, Callicéphale Éditions, The Room and the University of Udine.


Empire His work has been published in GQ, Wired, Architectural Digest, Glamour, W Magazine, Details, Self, Bon Appetit, Vogue, Allure, Axis and 2+3D Magazine, and has also been included in the book Icons of Graphic Design edited by Steven Heller and Mirko Ilić. He is known for his own interpretation of children's book stories and city landscapes, which have been exhibited in several countries such as Belgium, France, USA, aside from his native country Hungary. He has received many awards, among them in 2013 a diploma for the most beautiful Hungarian book and the IBBY Illustrator of the year award.
