NLB Gallery Avla: The Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts Through Posters

Announcement of the accompanying exhibition of the 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts at NLB Gallery Avla, Trg republike 2, Ljubljana. 
Exhibition opening on Thursday, 6 August at 11.00. 
The exhibition will be open from 6 August to 3 December 2015, every workday from 8.00 to 18.00. Free admission. Welcome.

On the 60th anniversary of the Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts, the International Centre of Graphic Arts is organising an accompanying exhibition The Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts Through Posters.  
The exhibition marks this venerable anniversary with a review of posters and announces the 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts that will take place on various venues across Ljubljana. 

"The Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts is an event that has not given up the poster, although the organiser is aware that today it no longer bears communicational but cultural and historical value. The review of the Biennial posters also gives a historical account of the Biennial’s development, taste of time, as well as a retrospective of graphic design development in Slovenia."

With a partnership exhibition The Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts Through Posters, MGLC and NLB are opening a new programme ‒ the Ljubljana Cultural Promenade. In the future important cultural institutions of Ljubljana are going to announce their events as part of this programme.
